About Rodney Dakessian

Rodney Dakessian, Magistrate, PhD, Doctor of Public Law from the University Jean Moulin - Lyon 3 - France.

He publicly defended his Thesis on December 14, 2012 in the Graduate School of Law at the University of Lyon, and he obtained the degree Very Honorable.

His Thesis was entitled: "The legal effects of the massacres committed against the Armenians in 1915 and their possible judicial and extrajudicial resolutions modes."

This PhD was the first in the world to study the "Armenian case", especially from a legal aspect.

He published his Thesis as a book in collaboration with Sader Legal Publishing and L.G.D.J editor in May 2013, and he won for this book the "Best scientific work 2013" award from the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia. In October 2015, he published the Armenian version of the book.

He was an Attorney at Law, member of Beirut Bar in 2009 and pleaded and acted before the Lebanese courts, prepared reviews, requests for use in a case before the courts, continued the procedural handling of cases pending before the courts, as drafting contracts in the commercial sector, as well as research memos, and gave consultations Lebanese law and international law (commercial, civil, criminal and land ), practiced interviews by telephone call and research, wrote all kinds of letters and correspondence in English, French and Arabic, and oversaw administrative tasks in the study, and used to prepare daily and monthly reports on the progress of work.

On the 30th of January 2014, he succeeded in the Judicial competition organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Justice and under the auspices of the High Judicial Council, and thus he became Magistrate (Judge ).

He dreams that one day he can apply his ideas and thoughts concerning the Armenian genocide, which are based on International law and objectivity, and equally he can realize his dream to solve the "Armenian case".
